The warmth and character of real timber
There is something about natural timber that simply can’t be replicated.
Our Natural Veneer range is handcrafted using genuine crown-cut American White Oak, bringing the warmth, texture and individuality of real timber to IKEA cabinetry.
Every piece has its own grain, movement and natural variation, creating cabinetry that feels considered, tactile and completely unique.
Paired with IKEA METOD, PAX or BESTA cabinetry, Natural Veneer allows you to achieve the look and feel of high-end custom joinery while retaining the practicality and flexibility of the IKEA cabinet system.

FAQ
Is Natural Veneer real timber?
Yes. Our Natural Veneer range uses genuine crown-cut American White Oak veneer. Because it is real timber, every piece has its own natural grain, colour and character.
Will all of my doors and panels look the same?
No — and that's part of the beauty of Natural Veneer. Natural variations in grain, colour and tone should be expected. These aren't defects; they're characteristics of genuine timber and mean every project is unique.
Can I choose the colour of my Natural Veneer?
Yes. Our American White Oak veneer is available in a curated selection of stains, allowing you to achieve anything from a light, natural oak appearance through to richer and darker tones while retaining the natural timber grain.
Alternatively, you can select a solid colour from major paint suppliers, such as Dulux, Porter's Paints, Resene and more.
Can Natural Veneer be grain matched?
Yes. We offer grain matching as an optional service, allowing the grain to flow across adjoining doors and drawer fronts for a more considered, continuous appearance.
What's the difference between Natural Veneer and a timber-look laminate?
Natural Veneer uses genuine timber, while timber-look laminates from suppliers such as Polytec and Laminex, reproduce the appearance of timber using a manufactured surface. Laminate offers greater consistency and a lower price point, while Natural Veneer provides the authentic grain, depth, variation and tactile quality of real timber.
What's the difference between Natural Veneer and Impression?
Natural Veneer uses genuine American White Oak, with the natural colour, grain and variation of real timber. Impression recreates the texture of American Oak by impressing the grain into the surface before painting it in your chosen colour. If you want authentic timber, choose Natural Veneer; if you want timber texture with greater colour flexibility, explore Impression.
